Meet Samantha Rosenberg! (Pt. 1)

We are so thrilled to be featuring our very first vendor--the amazing Austin wedding and event planner, Samantha Rosenberg! We met her at a recent wedding and loved getting to know more about her. Read on to learn about Samantha, her business, and get some wedding planning tips!

Samantha is an Austinite with over 12 years of wedding and event coordinating experience. Her company, Samantha Elizabeth Events, is a luxury wedding and event coordination business, passionately dedicated to helping people cherish the most meaningful moments of their wedding day. Samantha's passion is centered on a simple mission--offering the most memorable experience possible by intimately taking on the details so the couple can simply enjoy not only their wedding day, but the entire planning process.

Her journey to becoming a coordinator began in high school when she was working at a local bridal shop here in Austin selling wedding dresses. It was then that she fell in love with the wedding industry and decided to explore other opportunities. During college, she interned with a dear friend and amazing Austin coordinator, Linda Dryden. This was when she developed a passion for helping brides throughout the planning process leading up to one of the biggest days of their lives. After she graduated from college, she moved to California with her husband and worked for a coordinator in Sacramento where she learned more about the business side of weddings. This eventually helped lead her to pursue her dream of starting her own company, which she did three years ago when she moved back to Austin.

She is passionate about developing close relationships with each of her couples in order to help them tell their story through their wedding day. She loves to focus on the details that make each event unique, personal, and truly one of a kind. She only takes on a limited number of weddings each year, ensuring that she can focus her time and attention on each client she works with. She considers it an extreme privilege to walk alongside her couples as she prepares to share their story with others on their wedding day.

Here are some personal tips from Samantha for brides during the wedding planning process!

1. Enjoy the planning process

Remember that planning your wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and it tends to go by so quickly (though it may not feel that way while navigating the intricate details).  Alleviate your stress by hiring a coordinator to help you!  By entrusting the countless “to-do” list items to the care of a professional planner, you’ll be able fully enjoy the build-up to your special day.

2. Stay Organized

Whether it be a wedding binder, a wedding folder on your computer, or online planning tools provided by your wedding coordinator, make sure you keep everything that has to do with your wedding in one place! Between vendor contracts, payment due dates, to-do lists, wedding day packing lists, and guest lists, it can easily get overwhelming if you aren't organized from the very beginning. Make a list of all your vendors, their contact info, and payment due dates so that it's easily accessible when you need it. Towards the end of the planning process, make a list of all the items that you will be packing for the wedding day to hand over to your coordinator or a family member so they know exactly what goes where. You can never be too organized when it comes to your big day!

3. Don't forget to date your fiancé all the way up to the actual wedding day

Remember, you’re getting married because you’ve chosen to spend the rest of your life with your best friend.  During the planning process it can become so easy to get wrapped up in menial details, which detract from the true meaning of the day itself.  Being engaged takes your relationship to a whole new level, so don’t forget to continue cultivating your relationship as you prepare for marriage!

4. Don't sweat the small stuff

This may sound counterintuitive considering this is one of the biggest days of your life, but when all is said and done, all that matters is the fact that you and the love of your life will soon be husband and wife! Planning a wedding is a lengthy and very detailed process, and there are guaranteed bumps along the way. Don’t lose sight of what’s really important and lean on your coordinator to smooth out anything that gets thrown your way. If anything should go wrong on your wedding day, try to stay calm and just let your coordinator handle it—that’s their job!
